Previously, we talked about the best months to visit Turkey and what activities you can do in each month. Today, we wanted to focus on visiting Turkey in the month of November and the activities that you can do in this month if you’re planning to visit.
Thanks to its geographical location, the autumn months in Turkey are magical. People love visiting Turkey in the fall because of the cooler weather that allows them to explore the captivating historical sites, to enjoy nature with the autumn colors that covers the forests, parks, and scenes, to avoid the crowds, and catch some more affordable deals!
What activities can you do in Turkey in November? And which cities can you visit?
Antalya
Antalya is actually still pretty warm during November with temperatures ranging from 15C to 20C, making it the ideal weather to walk on the beach or go to cafes with beautiful scenery on the sea.
There are so many activities to do in Antalya anytime of the year! In the cooler months you may want to explore the ancient city of Perge, visit some museums like the Antalya Museum or the Sand Sculpture Museum, hike the Lycian way, or even go on a lion safari!
If you’re craving some more activities and want to enjoy some awesome scenery during the autumn months, you can take the Antalya Harem Maldives boat tour which is a yacht tour that gives you the opportunity to try some authentic Turkish food. The weather in Istanbul is colder than the weather in Antalya, with temperatures ranging from 8C to 15C. But there is still so much going on and so many things you can do during this time.
You can go to a puppet festival where you can see shows and attend puppet making workshops, you can participate in the Istanbul Marathon that happens every November on the second Sunday where you will run/jog/walk across two continents passing the Bosphorus bridge where you can enjoy the amazing views, you can also go sightseeing and visit Hagia Sophia, Tokai Palace, and the Blue Mosque.
You can also see the amazingly colorful neighborhood of Balat, you can stroll through the small roads enjoying the view of older colorful houses while petting or feeding the stray cats which love to sit in the windows or on the sidewalk, sit in a café or walk with a warm coffee in hand as you talk to your loved ones.
If you love shopping, you can also go to the grand bazaar or spice bazar where you can walk around in an enclosed place safe from the cool air and rain, you can shop from the little individual stores which have a bunch of different things including lamps, carpets, handicrafts and more, so if you are looking for a souvenir or a gift for someone back home, you should definitely consider going to the grand bazar for some shopping.
If you are a food lover, you can go on a gastronomic tour where you will enjoy various different types of traditional freshly made food.

Cappadocia
The weather in Cappadocia can be cold during November with temperatures ranging from 5C to 13C
The hot air balloon experience in Cappadocia is one of the most loved activities in Turkey. People love enjoying the experience of the sunset or sunrise in a hot air balloon, while looking at the stunning landscapes and colorful sky. From the top you can see the fairy chimneys, other hot air balloons, and the different landscapes.

Pamukkale
If you are planning on visiting Turkey in November you shouldn’t miss out on visiting Pamukkale!
Pamukkale is one of the most visited cities in Turkey during the cooler months, it has stunning views of the nature, thermal waters, historical ruins, and beautiful parks. The weather in November is cooler ranging from a maximum of 17C and a minimum of 4C.
Pamukkale has travertine terraces which are formed by calcium deposits, the terraces are filled with natural nutrient-rich thermal pools making it perfect for a nice dip in the cooler months as the water keeps you warm so you can enjoy the magical view and relax.
You can also visit the Roman City of Hierapolis, which was built over 2000 years ago, the ruins are well preserved and you can see the Roman theater, bathhouses, and the Necropolis. If you love history and want to learn more about the ancient city of Hierapolis, you can visit the Hierapolis Museum where you will see some unique artwork and artifacts.
If you are a nature lover, you may want to visit Pamukkale’s natural park, the park is a great place for picnics, walks, enjoying the views, and much more.
Still not enough? Well, if you want an adrenaline rush you can go paragliding over Pamukkale and enjoy the view of the cotton castle (the travertines) with the ancient city of Hierapolis and the beautiful nature. You can also drive to the pink lake and enjoy the beauty of this magically unique lake.
Whichever month you decide to come to Turkey to, there is always something to do. Just remember to bring the right clothing and choose the right activities to do.
